Canada's Best Blogs Showcased

Several more new blogs have been added to Blogs Canada 's Directory of Canadian blogs. There are over 6,780 blogs in our database.

Yesterday, we unveiled the November Top Ten Blogs. These were selected from nominations sent in by Blogs Canada visitors. This month we've added Briana Doyle as a judge. She joins Jay Currie and Jim Elve on the Top Blogs panel.

To reiterate the motive behind this post and this Blogger blog, this is one of a series of blog entries that are intended to shamelessly promote BlogsCanada by testing a theory floated in Jim Elve's blog, BlogsCanada: Officially Unofficial, entitled: "Blogger as Flogger". The theory is that a blog which exists for the sole purpose of plugging another blog can have a positive effect on the plugged blog's standing on search engines and in blogging ecosystem-type indices.

Early indications are that the tactic has a positive effect on ecosystem rank. Google rankings for this blog are not significantly good, however. Starting today, I am blogrolling this blog on my 'real' blog. This is intended to boost SE rank for this blog and thus deliver more traffic from here to BlogsCanada. Thusfar, very little increased traffic to BlogsCanada can be chalked up to this blog.
